Richard released his first CD in 2004, and has proved a big hit ever since. The son of a musician and bandleader in his hometown of Derby, Richard grew up playing organ and keyboards with friends and local bands. Since his late teens, Richard has more or less devoted his music to Ballroom and Sequence dancing. His easy style and accomplished playing present a very attractive sound, which is proving to be very popular with a wide audience of dancers.
